Just a few years ago, most gambling teams built their traffic acquisition around familiar sources. Meta and Google offered a clear operating model, significant volumes, and opportunities to scale.
But the market is changing.
Over the past year, we’ve increasingly seen teams move beyond the traditional set of traffic sources. And it’s not so much about chasing the next trend as it is about adapting to the reality of performance marketing today.
Meta is becoming more expensive, competition for audiences continues to grow, and launch stability remains one of the key challenges. Google requires more attention to policies, campaign setup, and compliance with advertising requirements.
As a result, relying on just one or two major traffic sources is becoming an additional risk for teams.
That’s why channels that were often considered experimental just a year or two ago are increasingly becoming a full-fledged part of the media mix.
Among the sources particularly worth watching right now are Snapchat, Reddit Ads, and Telegram Ads.

01Snapchat: Access to a Mobile-First Audience
Snapchat is particularly interesting because of its audience and the way users consume content on the platform.
Historically, the platform has been especially popular among younger users and is built around a mobile-first experience. For performance teams, this creates an opportunity to reach audiences whose entire journey — from the first interaction with an ad to the target action — takes place primarily on a smartphone.
Snapchat can be particularly interesting for Tier-1 GEOs, where a large mobile-first audience meets intense competition across traditional advertising channels.
For teams, the motivation to test the platform is clear: reach new audiences, potentially achieve a more competitive cost of contact, and enter the channel before competition reaches the same level as on more established traffic sources.
At the same time, simply transferring the familiar Meta approach directly to Snapchat is a mistake.
A different content consumption model requires different creatives, communication dynamics, and approaches to the first interaction with the user. The advantage goes not to teams that simply add another advertising platform, but to those that adapt the entire funnel to it.
02Reddit Ads: When Context Matters More Than Aggressive Advertising
For a long time, Reddit remained outside the focus of much of the affiliate industry. The platform was primarily seen as a huge network of niche communities rather than a serious performance traffic source.
Today, that perception is gradually changing.
Reddit’s key advantage is context.
Users don’t come to the platform simply to scroll through a feed. They read about other people’s experiences, ask questions, compare products, discuss specific topics, and interact within highly focused communities.
This makes Reddit particularly interesting for English-speaking GEOs and campaigns where user decisions are shaped not only by the advertising message but also by trust in the surrounding context.
However, Reddit requires a different approach to advertising.
What works as a direct advertising creative on other social platforms may feel out of place to Reddit users. Teams need a deeper understanding of specific communities, their language, interests, and rules of interaction.
And that is both the challenge and the potential of the platform.
03Telegram: No Longer Just a Traffic Source
Telegram is an even more interesting case.
Calling it simply a messenger is no longer enough. An entire ecosystem has developed around the platform: channels, bots, Mini Apps, an advertising platform, and local communities.
This allows teams to work not only with initial user acquisition but also to build a longer engagement journey.
For example:
ad → channel or bot → content → repeat interaction → target action.
For gambling, this is particularly interesting because teams are not limited to a single advertising interaction.
In a traditional model, a team often competes for a conversion immediately after the click. Telegram makes it possible to first build an owned audience and then continue engaging with it through content, messages, bots, and other mechanics.
That’s why Telegram should not be viewed simply as another advertising platform. In certain models, it can become a separate part of the user acquisition and retention funnel.
04A New Traffic Source ≠ Easy Traffic
This is where one of the biggest misconceptions appears.
When a promising new channel starts gaining traction, it’s easy to see it as a place where competition is still low, traffic is cheap, and a successful setup from another platform can simply be transferred over.
In practice, it rarely works that way.
A new traffic source is not an “easy money” button.
Snapchat, Reddit, and Telegram each have their own audiences, advertising logic, formats, restrictions, and optimization specifics.
The teams that stay ahead will not simply be the first to open an account on a new platform. They will be the ones that can move through the following cycle faster than others:
test → data → analysis → adaptation → retest → scale.

05This requires four things:
Speed of adaptation. What works today may require a completely different approach within a few months.
Testing volume. One unsuccessful launch says very little about the potential of a traffic source. New channels need to be explored systematically.
A stable operational foundation. Accounts, payments, creatives, tracking, and backup solutions should allow teams to test new directions without disrupting their existing volumes.
Analytics and traffic quality. A cheap click means very little on its own. Teams need visibility across the entire funnel — from the first interaction to conversion, user quality, and the value that user ultimately brings to the advertiser.
06Diversification in 2026 Is No Longer an Experiment
The biggest shift we’re seeing today isn’t that Snapchat, Reddit, or Telegram are suddenly going to replace Meta or Google. What’s changing is the overall approach to traffic acquisition.
The question is no longer: “Which traffic source is the best?”
A much more important question is: “How many working traffic sources does your team have, and how quickly can you redistribute volumes between them?”
If one channel becomes more expensive, changes its rules, or stops delivering the required economics, the business shouldn’t stop with it.
That’s why, in 2026, traffic diversification is gradually moving from the category of “something worth testing” to a fundamental part of risk management.
Snapchat, Reddit Ads, and Telegram Ads may not become direct replacements for Meta or Google. And there may be no need to look for one universal replacement in the first place.
The future is more likely to follow a model where teams work with several traffic sources simultaneously, understand the economics of each one, and can quickly scale whichever channels are delivering results.
And the teams building this model today have an opportunity to develop expertise in emerging channels before they become as competitive as the traffic sources we already know.
